This morning I had to say good bye to some dear friends. Friends who'd been with me for a long time. Through thick and thin. Trips overseas, long lunches, shopping excursions - even exercise sessions. This morning I had to throw out a pair of swimmers and two of my favourite skirts, a light blue corduroy one and a cute denim number with pale pockets with royal blue piping. "I've one word to say to you Kimmie, threadbare!". Oh, the humanity! I think shopping for swimmers, bathers, togs (which is what I really call them, but my sister-in-law always laughs when I do) is worse than shopping for jeans! I do *not* look forward to traipsing through shops to get some more - and luckily I don't have to. A quick trip to
DFO this morning found me some at 50% off. I got some for 30 bucks and you really *can't* go wrong there. If only the skirts were as easily replaced. They've been with me for a lot longer - dare I admit I bought them both from a shop called
Bershka, in Spain (
Seville, if memory serves..) on a trip in 1999. Oh dear, line me up for the next episode of
Hoarders! I'll be sure they go to a good home - maybe some new denim shelleyberelli mini-clutches with corduroy lining? I'll keep you posted.
