I'm going to go all Joni Mitchell and say that mum and dad paved paradise and put up an air-conditioning unit (actually, they still have quite a spectacular garden *and* a cool house in summer & a warm one in winter!)

i'm not one to shy away from a photography project... and i *might* have a shelf or three filled with photo albums. when my friend, Ms K (who many or may not be holding the stick in the bottom photograph) posted the link to the 'dear photograph' blog on her facebook wall it definitely tickled my fancy. i spent the morning pouring over old photos in my collection and also trying to peel old photos out of mum and dad's albums. i ended up with eight or nine kodak moments i wanted to re-create. due to light, angles and quality of some old photos, i think some shots were more successful than others, but i'll let you be the judge of that.
